EXCELLENT BIKING CONDITIONS IN CHAMONIX JUST NOW!
The rain of last week which made everything soggy up in the mountains has dried off, leaving the trails dusty with plenty of grip. Additionally, pisteurs at the Vallorcine downhill have put a couple of good-sized jumps in, just before the track cuts into the woods. A must-stop-off for accomplished bikers...stop by the shop and ask us for advice when you get into town.

ZERO G OPENS LIFTSIDE DOWNHILL RENTAL SHOP
Tomorrow (Monday) sees the opening of a BRAND NEW liftside rental shop in Les Houches. Situated literally right next to the Bellevue cable car, the new Zero G shop will exclusively rent lift-approved bikes at cheaper rates than elsewhere in the valley. Riders will be able to take advantage of the just-opened Bellevue Mountain Bike Park, northshore ladder bridge features and fast downhill track found at the top of the lift.
The opening is a response to logical customer demand for a trailhead rental store. Here are some reasons to rent at Les Houches:
The line of bikes available from the Bellevue store is second to none. All Specialized from 2007 and 2008, bikes are Demo 7, Demo 8, Big Hit III and Pitch Pro. And since the lift is directly opposite the store, downhill bikes are available for hire by the hour, and hence much cheaper than the standard minimum 3-hour blocks elsewhere. With this new consumer-friendly pricing structure we hope to introduce many more people to the sport.
Zero G remains commited to advancing the cause of mountain biking in Chamonix, and continues to work with partners in support of the excellent Vallorcine downhill bike track project at the other end of the valley.
Rental rates in Les Houches: 30€/1st hour 20€/2nd hour 10/3rd & subsequent hours (includes fullface helmet & body armour)
Les Houches 1-day lift pass 13,40€
Open every fine day 10am - 5pm - in case of bad weather please check with Chamonix store
